When 70% of a team participates in a Snap! Raise campaign, the group keeps 80% of the total dollars raised as listed on our website. Instead, we charge a percentage fee of the overall funds raised after the closing of a campaign which is agreed upon with each group leader prior to the start. Meaning, that nothing comes out of pocket to start raising funds. There is no initial start-up fee to begin a Snap! Raise campaign. We have since added a feature that shows the participant's initial goal, their new goal, and their current individual amount raised to help provide some clarity. Once their initial goal has been met, the sole goal will continue to rise, as it is Snap! Raises mission to help groups raise the most amount of funds possible. Each participant starts with the same pre-set individual goal. It is never our intention to display misleading information. Hi ****, Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. Each team also gets a snap "rep" who pushes them to get as many family and friends as possible.aka: more money! They are further shady in that the required DMA "unsubscribe" button at the bottom of the system generated email that appears to be from the athlete is disguised as "manage email preferences".totally shady and what they DO NOT WANT is the friends and family to know they can unsubscribe. And this horrible organization take 20% of the total. The athelete is the product and the friends and family are treated as customers to be milked dry. This org is gross and any school district of org using them should be ashamed. They "require" a list of 20 friends and family emails then they trick the friends and family into believing that the athlete is sending them a personal email with manipulative language to maximize dontations.THEN they send a second and third email to guilt friends and family with more manipulative language that appears to be from the athlete. ![]() This program is horrible.they have taken "friends and family" fundraising and perverted it into a business of squeezing every last dollar from athletes' precious friends and family. Nowhere in their Spam email do they say anything about the fact that they take at least 20% of every dollar donated or that once they have your info they will sell it and SPAM you forever. There is a sucker born every minute and the fact that SNAP is still around proves it. and then defends stealing from kids or justifying all the ways and processes they use to steal from kids and use kids to enrich themselves. Who says "Thank you for your wonderful one star rant on how terrible we are?". ![]() They have found a way to steal money from the kids and their responses show they have no shame doing this. No one cares about what they have to say and it shows the kind of organization you will be dealing with. Read their responses to any negative review. Do not provide email of your family and friends to this company as they will be spammed forever. Any positive reviews of SNAP were likely written by SNAP.Don't donate directly to the school while SNAP has been contracted as the agreement states the school must give 20% of anything they receive to SNAP. There are a bunch of articles written by schools on how bad SNAP is. Read real articles on the internet that explains how bad SNAP is. Don't allow your kids to go out and make money for this organization. Only make donations directly to the schools. Complain to the school principal and your school boards. They have your personal information and credit card and will then use and sell this information. Once SNAP has your email OR when you donate they will SPAM you forever and there is no way to stop this. My friend's autistic kid was given a goal of $900. 20% of everything you donate goes to SNAP and more if the kids don't meet their outrageous goals. First they have fake websites with hundreds of fake 5 star reviews that they have optimized to come up first on searching for reviews. Never support any organization or school using through SNAP. ![]()
